NATIONAL LEARNING NETWORK
COLLEGE EAST

This Autumn, we’re proud to launch National Learning Network College East, offering certified educational courses for those who need specialist support.

NLN College East is a new education and training hub in the heart of Dublin. Built to reflect National Learning Network’s values of inclusion, empowerment, and personalised education, NLN College East is more than just a college, it’s a community built around the belief that learning should adapt to the student.

At NLN College East, we focus on each student’s development in a holistic sense – not just grades or qualifications. Our multidisciplinary team including instructors, resource teachers, rehabilitation officers and psychologists work with students to build a personalised training and support plan, helping students progress in a way that suits their pace, interests, and goals.

From digital skills to childcare, beauty skills to hospitality, computing, and a host of QQI Level 3-5 courses, we provide the stepping stones needed for each student to reach their full potential – empowering students with the confidence to take the next step toward a job, further education, or simply a more independent life.

NLN College East caters for a vast array of students from age 16 plus – whether that is a school leaver, someone looking for a fresh start, or someone who needs a bit of extra support along the way. Many of our students:

  • Have extra support needs: They may be neurodivergent or have learning differences, they may have mental health issues, require additional support due to a health issue or life changing event or may be long-term unemployed.
  • Thrive better in smaller, more supportive learning environments
  • Are re-entering education or changing direction in life after a setback
  • Are looking for free, nationally certified, full-time training that leads to employment or further / higher education

What Makes NLN College East Different?

  • Facilities: Modern campus with accessible facilities designed with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to support all learning styles and needs.
  • Free training programmes with nationally recognised qualifications (QQI Level 3-5, ICDL, City & Guilds) funded by the local ETB or the HSE
  • Specialist supports for students with autism, mental health challenges, disabilities, or learning differences.
  • Work experience opportunities and personalised career planning.
  • No CAO points needed – we focus on your goals, not your grades.
  • Continuous intake – our courses are not restricted to the academic year and can be started at any time.

Dr Rita Day, Director of Learning at Rehab Group said:At NLN we focus on each student’s development in a holistic sense – not just qualifications. What we offer is a personalised education for those who struggle in traditional educational settings. NLN can be truly life changing. We are so thrilled to add NLN College East to our portfolio which is open to students across the county and region. This campus is a commitment to our students’ futures. It is also a commitment to challenging Ireland’s poor record on disability employment by giving people the skills, confidence, and support they need to succeed.”
