Aspect Service

The Aspect A.S. Support Service provides individualised support and intervention to adults with A.S./Autism Spectrum Disorder (Non-ID) in Cork and Kerry. The service currently has over 650 clients.

The Aspect model of service is underpinned by client choice, maximising independence, confidentiality, personal and social development, health and well-being, active citizenship, and active service involvement. This is achieved through individualised, professional support from a Key Worker. Client meetings can take place in the community, in educational/training settings, in Aspect meeting rooms, or online. The service promotes a non-dependency model, with clients identifying their own service-engagement goals.

Where appropriate, clients can also access additional support and intervention from the Multi-Disciplinary Team, including Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Social Work. Aspect also facilitates training workshops and social opportunities for clients.

Key Workers can also liaise with training agencies, educational institutions, employers, medical professionals, etc. to support clients and provide education and understanding of A.S.
