NEW CEO ANNOUNCED FOR REHAB GROUP

The Board of The Rehab Group has announced, Barry McGinn, as its new CEO. 

Barry has worked for Rehab since 2017 bringing a wealth of experience from previous roles spanning the Department of Health, the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the HSE. He has served as Interim CEO of Rehab Group since February, 2020.

Congratulating Barry on his appointment, Chairman of the Board of Rehab Group, Jimmy Tolan said: “Barry has ably served as, Interim CEO, for the last six months at a particularly challenging time for the organisation, demonstrating professionalism and composure in a time of deep crisis. I am confident that Barry will bring the same fortitude and leadership to the organisation going forward. On behalf of the Board, I would like to congratulate, Barry, and wish him all the very best in the role,” he added.

Speaking at the announcement, CEO of Rehab Group, Barry McGinn said: “I would like to express my honour and delight in taking up the role of CEO on a permanent basis.  I am acutely aware of the role Rehab has played in wider society through the years, as an organisation providing high-quality services, but also one that has worked to reduce societal barriers for those experiencing disadvantage.”

This is a responsibility I take very seriously. Over the last number of months, as Interim CEO, I have witnessed the best of the organisation in the worst of times. The flexibility, commitment and dedication demonstrated by our staff has helped us navigate the most difficult situation that Rehab has faced in recent years.  I feel privileged to lead this great organisation into its next phase of development.”
