Disability Organisation, Rehab Group Announces Laura Keane as New CEO

Ireland’s largest disability organisation, Rehab Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Keane as its new Chief Executive Officer. Laura brings more than 35 years of experience in health and social care across Ireland and the UK, working across public, private, and not-for-profit sectors.

Over the past decade, Laura has served as CEO of Resilience Healthcare, a leading disability services provider. Prior to this she spent more than 20 years working for Rehab’s health and social care division, RehabCare.

Laura holds a Diploma in Occupational Therapy, an MSc in Health Services Management from Trinity College Dublin, and a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors. She is deeply committed to person-centred services and best-practice approaches for people with disabilities, guided by the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).

Commenting on her appointment, Laura Keane said: “I am absolutely honoured to take on this important role with Rehab Group and look forward to working with employees, funders, partners and the Board to continue delivering high-quality, inclusive services that make a real difference to the lives of those that Rehab supports. I am particularly excited to build on the organisation’s long foundation in disability services while championing innovation in service delivery, and to ensure that every person Rehab supports has the opportunity to live with independence, dignity, and choice.”

Chairman of the Rehab Group Board, Aidan Walsh congratulated Laura on her appointment: “On behalf of the Rehab Group Board, I am delighted to welcome Laura Keane as our new CEO. Her extensive experience, combined with her proven leadership in health and social care, makes her the ideal person to lead Rehab Group into the next chapter. Ms Keane will commence the appointment in February 2026.
