How NLN Helps People with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)

Quest Acquired Brain Injury Service is a community based specialist support service of the National Learning Network, which provides assessment, training and rehabilitation for people who have suffered an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).

Acquired brain injuries may result from strokes, brain tumours, hypoxia (insufficient oxygen to the brain), hemorrhages, aneurysms, falls, road traffic accidents, physical assaults, sporting injuries.

Quest comprises a multidisciplinary team, who deliver training, rehabilitation and therapeutic support through bespoke individual and group training sessions – in-centre and online. With the main centre based in Galway, Quest has additional outreach services in Mayo and Roscommon also.
