National Learning Network provides training and specialist support to people who, for various reasons, may find it challenging to gain employment. So whatever your circumstances – whether you are long-term unemployed, have an illness, a disability or additional support needs – National Learning Network can help you.

You can access courses in various ways: in your local centre, with a local employer, or even from your home. All National Learning Network training programmes are funded through the Educational Training Boards or the Health Service Executive, and therefore, most students receive an allowance for participation. Of the thousands of students who completed a training programme with us last year, 90% went on to further education or training.

Funded Programmes

Most NLN programmes are funded by the Educational Training Boards (ETBs) or the Health Service Executive (HSE), with many students receiving an allowance during participation.

From business and computer skills to computer aided design (CAD)art and leisure studies, National Learning Network has a course where you can achieve your full potential and learn to #ThinkPossible. Whether you’re interested in business studies, computer skills, CAD, arts, or leisure studies, NLN has a course that aligns with your passions and goals.

Our courses offer a variety of awards, including QQI (Level 1-6), ECDL, MOS and City & Guilds. In addition, National Learning Network facilitates students to recognise previous learning to gain credit towards a full award.

The Educational Training Boards fund our vocational courses. They include the following: Arts, Crafts and Media, Catering, Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure, Business Studies and Administration, Computer and IT, Horticulture and Environment, Career Exploration and Employment.

We also offer many rehabilitative training programmes designed to assist students in improving their quality of life through greater inclusion and involvement with the local community and through learning new skills. The HSE funds our rehabilitative programmes.
