Our courses are tailored to each student’s needs, to help them to build their confidence while getting practical job-seeking skills to help them get a job or go on to further training.

Employer Based Training

Employer Based Training supports students to acquire practical skills with a company in an area of their choice.
The course is a combination of on-the-job and in-centre training 60% on-the-job and 40% in-centre. The Employer Based Training instructor supports both the student and the employer. Students choose a training area that interests and suits them and the Employer Based Training instructor finds a suitable company to accommodate them in their locality.

Certification: QQI Level 4 Employment Skills (4M0857), QQI Level 4 Retail Skills (4M1998).

Fresh Start

Sometimes all you need is a fresh start! If you have been affected by poor mental health and accident or an injury, this recovery based training can help you to build on your personal confidence, work resilience and personal development.

The Freshstart course also explores opportunities to progress to further training and employment and work on gaining QQI certification

Certification: QQI Level 4 employment Skills ( 4MO857)

Transition

This programme is designed to meet the needs of students with extra support needs. It enables students to sample a range of vocational options and develop the skills, knowledge, confidence and resources to access employment, further training/education or options in the wider community.

Certification: QQI Level 3 Employability Skills (3M0935).

Office Technology Skills

This course will give you the necessary skill and experience to start a career in an office environment. You will gain recognized certification in modules including Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Databases and students can expect to gain real life work experience with a host company one day per week. You will be supported through the two year course with our highly experienced instructor, to enable you to achieve your major award and your career goals.

Sport and Recreation

This high energy course is designed to enable students to build a a career as a future coaches and leaders in the sports & leisure industry. It offers students a dual qualification. Using classroom, gym and outdoor training environments for supported and practical learning. The course offers students the the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a host company as part of their qualification.

Access

This training programme is designed to offer students an opportunity to explore personal, social and vocational skills and includes a high level of integration into the local community. Underpinning this programme is New Directions, a HSE person centred service for adults with disabilities. Modules on offer are delivered in a flexible manner and include activities and methods based on a cross modular approach.

Advance Programme – Skills For Life

The Advance programme is a two year rehbilitative training programme funded by the Health Service Executive. The is an individualized person centered training to support the needs of high functioning Autistic individuals aged 18 years and over. This training is supported by highly experienced team to include Instructors, Rehabilitation Officer, Resource teacher and Psychologist.

Advance aims to provide the person with autism and their families with the tools to improve social skills and maximize the use of independent living skills while also supporting their individual progression paths The training is underpinned by the new directions model which encompasses twelve pillars below and uses a blended delivery approach of incentre and community based training.
