Philip Burke

Philip Burke is a graduate of the University of London and the Honorable Society of King’s Inns. He was called to the Bar in 1998 and established Griffith College’s Professional Law School in the same year. He was also a member of its board of directors.  He founded Independent Colleges (a subsidiary of Independent News & Media PLC) in 2007, and served as its Chief Operating Officer.  He is Chief Executive of the City Education Group. He has also co-written a text on Irish Tort Law for Thomson Reuters (Roundhall), and is the co-founder of Clarus Press Limited, a legal publishing house. He has lectured extensively on Irish Charity law.
