Dr Rita Day

Director of Learning

Dr Rita Day SFHEA is the Director of Learning with overall responsibility for the operational management of the Group’s Learning Services, National Learning Network. With over two decades of experience in the education sector, Rita has consistently championed academic excellence and inclusive learning environments.

Before joining Rehab Group, she served as the Academic Director for Business, Law, and Marketing at Dublin Business School (DBS), where she shaped the academic vision and maintained the quality of programmes delivered to over 9,000 students. Rita has also held academic positions at St. Mary’s University College (Queen’s University Belfast), and at Southampton Solent University, where she advanced teaching practices and led curriculum development initiatives. Rita is passionate about designing educational programmes that are inclusive, relevant, and tailored to the needs of diverse learners. Her dedication to lifelong learning is reflected in her academic achievements: a Master of Education (MEd) and Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a Doctorate in Education (EdD). Rita is also a Senior Fellow with Advance HE (Higher Education Academy). Before moving into academia, she had corporate management roles with Sainsbury’s and P&O.
