Join the More Than a Job Movement

Work has the power to change a life, not just through a payslip, but through purpose, confidence, connection, and opportunity. More Than a Job is a campaign that celebrates real people, real experiences, and the real impact of inclusive employment.

As an employer, by signing up, you’re joining a community that believes everyone deserves the chance to contribute, to belong, and to thrive. You’ll receive updates, stories, resources, and opportunities to get involved whether you’re an employer, a supporter, or someone with lived experience.

Together, we can champion workplace inclusion and open more doors for people with disabilities. #MoreThanAJob

Real Stories, Real Stories, Real Work

Brian, Rehab Recycle Cork: “I’m deaf, and they support me in here if I need it. Everyone is really nice together. I’m working at Rehab Recycle since 2008. I really like working here and I like the job, and it’s great to get paid. It’s a good place to be. It’s always busy and I like to do lots of different things, taking apart the machines and sorting through the paper, it’s a job I enjoy. I like working with my hands, it’s great.”

Larry Doyle, Rehab Logistics Portlaoise:
“I’m here years, at least 25. I’m 55 years old this year. It’s changed a lot, this is a newer, modern building, since I started here. On a normal day, I would be packaging lots of different things that come in. I’m working on the lids for the Voya boxes, putting them together. I would get through two or three boxes of lids, or more, a day, and I would pack them up. I came here on work experience first, and they told me I could stay, so I stayed. I thought it would be better for me, and it was good to get paid. The managers are really nice. If I’m ever not sure of something, I can go to the managers straight away. Whenever a new job comes in, they show us how to do the work, they train us. It’s great to be working. It means I’m not doing nothing, there is something to do every day. I would be just at home otherwise. Where else would I go. I prefer to be working.”
