Our courses are tailored to each student’s needs, to build their confidence while getting practical job-seeking skills to help them get a job or go on to further training.

Skills For Life

This course provides students with personal, social and work related skills that will enable them to progress to greater levels of employment readiness. Students will learn to identify their strengths and goals for the future as well as exploring employment or further training opportunities through work experience at a host company. Practical skills training will is delivered using a mix of structured directed training, self-direction and one to one coaching. Training will be tailored to meet individualised training and development needs through individual action planning.

Certification: Employability Skills Certification: QQI Level 3

Fresh Start

Fresh Start provides students with an environment to achieve greater levels of personal development, to develop IT and business skills and to explore employment or further education opportunities. Students will be supported in progressing to higher level programmers within National Learning Network or onto further education or training of their choice. Certification at QQI Level 4 is available for all students.

Employer Based Training

A flexible course that enables students to acquire practical skills with a host company in a skill area of their choice. The course is a combination of on-the-job and in-centre training. The EBT co-ordinator will support both student and employer. Skills in the workplace are acquired through a combination of practical demonstration, instruction, supervised practice, etc. Students progress through thecourse at a pace which is suited to their individual needs and abilities.

Certification: QQI Level 4 Employment Skills (4M0857).

Horticulture / Landscaping

This QQI Level 4 course will provide students with the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required to pursue a career of choice in the horticulture industry. The first year of the course will concentrate on modules designed to give you a solid foundation in horticulture skills, while Year Two will facilitate you in specialising in a preferred area such as Landscape/Garden Maintenance, Garden Centre Operations, Nursery Operations, Market Gardening or Turf Maintenance.

Certification: Horticulture – QQI Level 4 Horticulture (4M1994).

Home-based Computers

This programme enables students to acquire skills necessary to work in an office-related environment. The programme is a combination of on-the-job and in-centre training. The instructors and support staff supports the student through the programme toward the goal of achieving a Major Award in Information & Communication Technology Skills at Level 5 on the National Framework of Qualifications. Ideally the student will be placed with an employer for at least one day a week after the initial induction period.

Plans for Me

This course is centred around personal development and person-centred planning and is designed to provide students with opportunities to learn the skills they need to develop personal effectiveness and self-advocacy and to become more independent in social and work situations. Students can progress onto further training or education.

Explore

Explore is a person centered outreach support service for school leavers over the age of 18 who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).Explore provides home and community supports for life, vocational and social goals. Support is provided by an Autism Outreach Support worker and is guided by the individual needs and level of support required. Referrals are made through the HSE Occupational Guidance Officer.

Quest Brain Injury Services

This specialised service is designed to meet the needs of Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) survivors., The service addresses such areas as: Brain Injury Management, Cognitive Function (General Cognitive Skills, Attention and Memory), Activities of Daily Living, Personal & Social Development, Health & Well Being, Information Technology, Home & Communication, and Vocational Exploration. The Quest Team aim to assist individuals to re-acclimate themselves post injury, often enabling a return to work, education, maximization of independence, and an overall improvement in general function.
