In our CareLink services, we support older people, children and people with disabilities to continue living independently in their own homes. We assist with a wide range of tasks – maybe calling into your home on a regular basis to cook dinner, doing grocery shopping or helping you to get up, washed and ready for the day ahead. We also support people to access the community. CareLink’s home support workers support people to achieve the quality of life that they desire. The services provided are flexible and tailored to the specific needs of the individual client.

At the Vita community hub, we offer our service users a range of supports and opportunities which will help them to develop in their lives and achieve their personal goals. Driven by the core principals of New Directions, our service aims to empower service users to become more independent and confident within their own lives and in their local community. Linking with community organisations such as the VEC, ETB and the SIDO, Vita aims to offer our service users a range of courses and activities in their community which will help them to develop valued social roles. We also offer weekend and evening outings each month which helps service users go to events in and around, Waterford City such as concerts, theatre and sporting events.

Anchor is a RehabCare resource centre based in Waterford, supporting and facilitating adults with disabilities (physical, sensory, intellectual, learning) and mental health difficulties. The service has a strong focus on community engagement, with individualised supports focussed on each person’s wishes and needs. Following the New Directions framework, the team enables people who use the service to reach their potential, develop independence, and become active members of their community, at a pace that suits them. Programmes include art, advocacy, health and wellness, independent living skills, sport, educational and employment programmes. It’s a dynamic service with inclusion at the heart of everything we do. At Anchor, our first port of call is the community.
