Supports for students

National Learning Network provides a range of support services for students to ensure they can participate fully in all aspects of student life as well as to help minimise the impact of their disability on their learning.

At NLN, we know that supporting a student’s well-being is critical if they are to reach their educational potential that’s why we adopt a holistic approach in everything we do; it’s your journey led by us, supported by you.

Students are supported by designing individualised and goal-orientated support programmes targeting each area they wish to improve. In addition, students can access a range of study, wellness, social, and organisational support sessions.

Our Educational Psychological service (& private assessment service) has been based at TU Dublin, Blanchardstown Campus, since 2003 and is an integral part of the day-to-day student services within TU Dublin. It strives to promote students’ independence and development of the skills necessary to help self-manage and self-regulate their difficulties. This approach supports students to flourish during their time in college and onwards into employment. This is a psychology-led service providing support to students in four third-level institutions. The Educational Support Service adopts a holistic approach and recognises that student well-being is intertwined with their academic experiences.

The CDETB Student Support Service is a partnership project between The National Learning Network and The City of Dublin Education and Training board. The service is now available in eight colleges of Further Education.
