Office Administration with ECDL

This training programme provides a wide range of skills in administration, reception and computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) that are frequently required for employment . Student CVs are enhanced by on-going supported work placements throughout the duration of the course. Students can also complete ECDL and QQI Level 5 Manual and Computerised Book-keeping if desired. On completion of the course, students can secure employment in a wide range of administration or reception roles or progress to third level education.

Certification: QQI Level 5 Office Administration (5M1997), ECDL.

Catering with Industry Partners

The aim of the programme is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and competence to work under supervision providing assistance and support within a catering setting, or alternatively, to progress to further training or education.

The programme also aims to support students in achieving QQI Level 4 certification in Catering Support . Using a 40/40/20 train and place model of delivery, students attend in-centre theory and practical skills training two days per week and will complete a work experience placement provided by a host company in a catering environment for two days per week. Practical skills are taught and assessed in a Production Kitchen setting, covering specific learning outcomes to achieve QQI component certification.

Directions

Directions is a rehabilitative training programme funded by the HSE designed to assist individuals who are recovering their mental health. The training programme has a range of modules that aim to help participants recover their self-confidence and develop a plan for the future. Facilitators and support staff create a safe and positive environment in which course participants can learn, enjoy and grow.

Certification: QQI Level 3 Employability Skills (3M0935).

Fresh Start

This programme is designed for students who would like the opportunity to make a new beginning, build their confidence and explore career opportunities. It provides students with an environment to achieve greater levels of personal development, to develop I.T. and business skills and to explore employment or further education opportunities. Students will be supported in progressing to QQI Levels 4 & 5 courses locally or to further education or training of choice. The programme also aims to provide students with the opportunity to address personal effectiveness and social skills issues.

Certification: QQI Level 3 Employability Skills (3M0935).

Retail Skills

The aim of the programme is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and competence to work under supervision providing assistance and support within a retail/shop setting, or alternatively, to progress to further training or education. The programme also aims to support learners in achieving QQI Level 4 certification in General Learning 4M2010. Using a 60/40 Train and Place model of delivery, students will attend in-centre theory and practical skills training three days per week and will complete a work experience placement provided by a host company in a retail environment for two days per week.
