Although our residents are heavily dependent on others for skilled, sensitive and highly personal nursing and support Chaseley is their home. Chaseley is about providing privacy and as much freedom and independence as possible; in other words providing as normal and as full a life as is achievable within the range of each residents' physical abilities.

Under our approved Charity Scheme, Chaseley provides:

• A Permanent Home. Some of our residents have been at Chaseley for over 30 years and many anticipate staying for the foreseeable future.
• A temporary home for an extended period while people come to terms with their disabilities and prepare to return to their homes in the wider community.
• A holiday or respite home. Disabled people living in the community can take a break at Chaseley. Accommodation is available for carers so that they can accompany the person for whom they care. Chaseley staff will provide 24 hour nursing cover and so provide a holiday for the whole family.
• Access to Eastbourne Town Centre. Chaseley is sufficiently close to the Town Centre that residents can travel the short distance to the shops and entertainment venues.
